Microsoft’s popular gaming service removes games from its library every two weeks. The latest such catalog shrinkage occurred on May 15, whenXbox Game Pass lost one of its highest-rated games,Norco, as well as seven other titles.
Another half a dozen games are now set to leave the service later today. The list ofMay 31 Xbox Game Pass departurescomprisesPac-Man Museum Plus,Little Witch in the Woods,JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R,Farworld Pioneers,Railway Empire 2, andChicory: A Colorful Tale. As per usual, no specific removal time has been provided by Microsoft, so the aforementioned titles could leave the service at any moment. However, all of them are still available as of the early afternoon hours ET on May 31.

Xbox Game Pass Removed More Games Than It Added in May 2024
SinceXbox Game Pass has only added 12 new titles in May 2024, this month will end up being a rare net loss for the service once these half a dozen games leave its library, for a total of 14 monthly departures. While Microsoft also pulled a similar number of titles from its catalog in April 2024, those 12 removals were offset by 17 new additions during this period. Meanwhile, the first quarter of the year saw the service on average add over double the amount of games that it removed each month.
Whether this month was merely an aberration or the beginning of a larger trend is currently unclear. More insight into the matter will likely arrive in a matter of days, whenXbox Game Pass receives its first June 2024 games. Those would beFireworkand the day-one titleRolling Hills: Make Sushi, Make Friends, both of which are scheduled to reach the service on June 4. That date will likely see Microsoft officially announce the first wave of next month’s releases, in addition to revealing which titles will be leaving Xbox Game Pass on June 15.
In the meantime, achievement hunters looking to add to their Gamerscore before these imminent departures take effect will most easily be able to do so with Bandai Namco’sPac-Man Museum Plus. While the game is way too content-packed to be fully beatable in a day, it does have several easy achievements, including one that is awarded for merely launching it, as well as another one that unlocks by clearing just a few missions.
