Summary

A creativeZelda: Tears of the Kingdomplayer builds a strange-looking vehicle that may actually be the fastest creation built in the game. ThisTears of the Kingdomvehicle is so fast that the game won’t allow it to reach its top speed for fear of breaking the game.

One of the most impressive aspects ofThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildwas the massive size of Hyrule. The map in that game was so big that many players claimed that it could take up to 40 minutes to walk from one end of the map to the other. Adequate traversal could only be achieved by horseback or fast traveling. Thismassive-sized Hyrule is back inThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but in this game, players have the ability to create vehicles out of Zonai devices that can get Link from one end of Hyrule to the other in a fraction of the time.

Reddit user Swagapi posted a video of a vehicle inTears of the Kingdomthat literally pushes the limit of what can be achieved in the game. In the clip, Link can be seen in the middle ofHyrule field, using his Autobuild ability to put together a strange-looking contraption. In the center of this makeshift vehicle are two Stabilizers fused together, with four Big Wheels surrounding them. Around the two outside wheels are a series of wagon wheels strategically floating in the air. Once the contraption is fused together, Link runs under it and uses the Ascend ability to reach the Steering Stick in the middle. The second Link jumps on the Steering Stick the vehicle instantly rockets ahead through the grassy field. He doesn’t get too far, however, as Link is suddenly thrown off the vehicle in the middle of his joyride.

The reason why Link gets tossed in the air is due to the Steering Stick. TheSteering Stick inTears of the Kingdomhas a little-known speed limit to it that the developers added in so the game doesn’t glitch or freeze up. Once the Steering Stick senses that the player is going over 45mph, Link gets thrown off whatever vehicle he’s on. This is good for keeping the game running, but unfortunately, players won’t be able to see the full potential of this incredibly fast vehicle.

For players wondering how the wagon wheels are floating in mid-air, this is due to a new technique players have discovered inTears of the Kingdomcalled stake nudging. Stake nudging is a painfully slow process of attaching an item to a stake, then slowly pulling another item away from said stake until the player achieves the desired effect. It’s unclear if stake nudging will remain in the game after future patches, so players who would like to use this technique in their creations should do so sooner rather than later.
