It’s nearly Christmas, which means that many ongoing games are currently celebrating with specialholiday-themed events. Mobile game developerZyngawill be getting in on the holiday spirit this year, with the company confirming a slew of new holiday-themed events for its various titles.
First off,Empires & Puzzles' Winter Fun event is live in the game now and available until June 02, 2025. It includes “a barrage of festive features, gifts, and offers” as well as the Santa’s Challenge event.Zyngahas also announced thatFarmVille 2: Country Escape’s Yule Goat Festival is also live now and runs until December 27. During this event,FarmVille 2players have to assist Nisse with collecting gifts so they can finish building a Yule Goat made up of presents.FarmVille 2: Tropic Escape, meanwhile, has its Santa’s Holiday Memories event, live in the game now and available until December 28. This event will see players interact with both Santa and Mrs. Claus.

BothMerge Dragons!andMerge Magic!haveChristmasevents as well, though they will be available for a shorter period of time than theEmpires & PuzzlesandFarmVille 2events. TheMerge Dragons!Christmas event will be live from December 25 to December 28, whereasMerge Magic’s Christmas event will be available from December 18 until December 21. Fans of those mobile games will want to make sure they play in that window if they want to take part in the festivities.
Elsewhere, the hit mobile gameWords With Friendswill be celebrating the holidays with the Warm Wishes Rewards Pass, available now and until July 28, 2025. Essentially, aWords With Friendsbattle pass, there is a free and premium version available.Words With Friendsplayers can also visit the game’s Facebook page each day between December 20 and December 25 to get some additional free content.
And finally, Zynga is rounding out its holiday events withZynga Poker’s Winter Wonder event.Zynga Poker’s Winter Wonder event will let players win a special in-game watch that will only be available for a limited time. As expected, the watch is themed after the season, with Zynga describing it as an “icy masterpiece.” TheZynga PokerWinter Wonder event will be live in the game from now until December 21.
Conspicuous by its absence isZynga’sHarry Potter: Puzzles & Spells. Releasing earlier this year to mostly strong reviews,Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spellshas proven to be one of Zynga’s more popular match-3 puzzle games since its launch. It not being a part of this announcement doesn’t mean that it won’t have some kind of Christmas event of its own, however, similarly to theHarry Potter: Hogwarts MysteryChristmas eventthat’s going on. Fans of the game will just have to standby for more information on that front.
